Last week Ohio Gov. John Kasich heard some boos while debating bank bailouts with U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz during the GOP debate. “The two Republican candidates veered sharply apart as Cruz flatly said that, as president, he would not bail out a major bank on the verge of failure. Kasich, in contrast, insisted: ‘When there is a financial crisis or a crisis with Ebola, you’ve got to go there and try to fix it,’” Dispatch Washington bureau chief Jack Torry writes.
