Ohio funeral board votes not to suspend director after contentious meeting

Amid a display of ill will from both sides, the executive director of the Ohio Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors survived a move to suspend her from her duties on Monday over allegations of misconduct. After meeting privately in executive session for 33 minutes, the board voted 3-2 at the conclusion of a contentious meeting to keep Vanessa Niekamp in her job.
