Ohio Arts Council hands out $12 million in grants

The Ohio Arts Council awarded more than $12 million in grants for fiscal year 2017, an increase of more than $1 million from 2016, the council announced today. Executive director Donna Collins credited the boost in state funding for allowing the group to increase its support. Lawmakers in 2015 approved a state budget giving the council its largest funding increase ever, nearly 28 percent over two years.
