Officer Steven Smith remembered as a warrior, friend

Columbus Police officer Steven M. Smith was a father, a husband, an officer, a friend. "Now he will be remembered eternally as a hero," Columbus Police Chief Kim Jacobs said, as thousands honored Smith today at a service in Westerville. In work and in his personal life, Smith was a warrior. He flew helicopters, was on the dive team, and walked into dangerious situations as a SWAT officer.
