ODOT trains first responders to help reduce secondary crashes
It's new training by the Ohio Department of Transportation to prevent more injuries and accidents that happen in the wake of the initial accident.ODOT says the likelihood of a secondary crash increases by 2.8% every minute the initial accident continues to be a hazard.Almost 100 first responders gathered at the Ohio Fire Academy.The group included firefighters, law enforcement, freeway service patrol and tow truck drivers.They’re being trained on how to work more smoothly together to clear
