O'Brien, Klein debate importance of experience in prosecutor race
The candidates for Franklin County prosecutor laid the groundwork in their first debate for two very different messages to voters. Incumbent Prosecutor Ron O’Brien, a Republican, touted his courtroom experience and record as a manager who works on the county’s biggest crime problems. Columbus City Council President Zach Klein, the Democratic challenger, framed himself as a “21st century prosecutor” and administrator who would do more to reduce crime outside the courtroom.
