'Oak wilt' tree outbreak invades Cleveland Heights historic district

The latest scourge to threaten the east side's stately tree canopy -- in this case, the mighty oak -- has infiltrated the city limits. The fungal blight known as "oak wilt" has been found in 30-50 trees, mostly within the Forest Hill historic district of Tudor-and-Normandy-style houses built by the Rockefellers and straddling the border of East Cleveland and Cleveland Heights.
