NFL to install turf field where league's first game played
DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — The NFL says its nonprofit NFL Foundation will fund construction of an artificial turf field in Ohio to honor the site where the league's first game was played.A National Football League release this week said the foundation will finance the field at Triangle Park in Dayton to commemorate the game played there by the Dayton Triangles and the Columbus Panhandles on Oct. 3, 1920.
