Newark museum memorializes native Jerrie Mock's around-the-world flight

NEWARK — After a young Jerrie Mock took her first ride in an airplane, she knew right away she wanted to do it again. “I’m going to be a pilot, and I’m going to fly around the world!” she declared on stepping out of the Ford Trimotor airplane at age 7.
