Newark farmers market nearing completion

NEWARK, Ohio — It wouldn’t have mattered what Punxsutawney Phil saw when he made his annual appearance last week — anticipation is building in Licking County for spring, when the first farmers market in the new Canal Market District will open for business. Construction of the open-air market pavilion between Canal and Market streets in downtown Newark is nearly complete.
