New, small space Downtown combines art gallery, bookstore

The owner of the Angela Meleca Gallery had been looking for a way to use the 250-square-foot space adjacent to the main area of her Downtown gallery. "There were times that I'd have a main show in the main gallery, and then I would have a side show or something in that space," said Meleca, who opened the business at 144 E. State St. in 2013.
