New ambassador program links neighbors with resources

Jenny Lin loves her neighborhood. She keeps her eyes and ears open, alert for ways she can help. “If there’s something I can work on to better my community, that’s what I’ll do,” said Lin, who lives in the Minerva Park area. That mindset makes Lin a natural for HandsOn Central Ohio’s neighborhood ambassador program, a pilot effort that taps volunteers to serve as links between their communities and the resource and volunteer referral agency.
