Neighbors want to know why gas leak persisted after West Side explosion

It took more than two hours to shut off the gas following the explosion Wednesday that rocked a section of the Hilltop neighborhood on the West Side, said Columbus Fire Battalion Chief Steve Martin. That's because fire officials and Columbia Gas wanted to target only that block, sparing service to other customers.
