Navy: Fighter jet crashes off Key West; crew dead

WASHINGTON — A Navy F-18 fighter jet crashed in the water near a naval station in Key West, Florida, Wednesday afternoon, the Navy says. Two crew members were on board and ejected. They were recovered from the water and were taken to an area hospital.The U.S. Naval Air Forces tweeted Wednesday night that both had died.UPDATE: We are sad to report that both aviators have been declared deceased.
