Murder suspect arrested after weekend shooting in Whitehall

Police have charged Emanuell Moncrief, 21, of the 1700 block of Franklin Avenue, Columbus, with one count of murder in the death of Edward E. Braswell, 56. Whitehall police said they were called at 9:25 p.m. Saturday to the Stonecrest Apartments in the 4600 block of E. Main Street for a report of shots fired. Callers to 911 said they'd heard at least three shots in the parking lot of the complex.
