Mount Carmel CEO who is suffering from cancer steps down

Claus von Zychlin, president and CEO of Mount Carmel Health System, announced Friday that he would not return from the medical leave he began in October. In a conference call with reporters, von Zychlin said he needed the next year to focus on his health and family after being diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a cancer that affects plasma cells. There is no cure.
