More than 4,200 AEP customers without power in Newark after transformer fire

NEWARK, Ohio - AEP Ohio said more than 4,200 customers are without power in Newark Friday night.The Newark Division of Police said there was a transformer fire at the Sharon Valley Road substation.AEP told 10TV the customers affected are in the Sharon Valley Road area and power has been out since around 7:15 p.m.Police said N. 21st Street and everything to the northwest of that street does not have power.AEP said crews will work throughout the night to help restore power.The estimated time the p
