More central Ohio moms choosing midwives

Liam Atlas Sims snuggled into his mom’s belly after a mid-morning feeding on Tuesday at Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center. Next to them sat Rebecca Wagner, a nurse midwife and part of the team of midwives who have tended to Sarah Sims throughout her pregnancy, during the delivery and since Liam arrived on Sunday afternoon. This week, the midwives — six now, up from three initially hired by Ohio State in 2013 — logged their 1,000th delivery at the hospital.
