Medical marijuana bill may squeak by in Senate

A legislative vote on medical marijuana is coming down to the wire today in the Ohio Senate, but it appears it may have the votes to pass. A Senate committee voted 7-5 this morning for House Bill 523, legislation that would allow Ohioans with certain medical conditions to legally obtain medical marijuana from a doctor. Four Republicans joined Democratic Sen. Michael Skindell of Lakewood opposing the bill.
