Mascot duties require passion, stoicism amid painful surprises

The debut today of the Netflix mock-umentary "Mascots" will cast a spotlight on the Brutus Buckeyes and Stingers of the world. The film, which focuses on the fictional World Mascot Association Championships, was directed by Christopher Guest, who has previously skewered dog shows, folks music and genealogists.
