Man struck, killed crossing US-33 in Hocking County

LOGAN, Ohio – The Athens Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal pedestrian crash Wednesday.OSHP troopers were called around 6:55 a.m. to US 33 near milepost 9 in Hocking County.Investigators say 58-year-old Timothy Canter was walking north across the westbound lanes of US 33 when he was struck and killed by a Dodge Ram pickup truck.Canter was pronounced dead on the scene by the Hocking County Coroner’s Office.The crash remains under investigation.
