Man struck, injured by train in Springfield

Authorities in western Ohio say a man has been struck by a train.Officials say the man was struck around 9 p.m. in Springfield. He was taken to Springfield Regional Hospital. Authorities say he will be airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.Jon Glass, manager of public relations for Norfolk Southern Railway, tells WHIO the man was trespassing and sitting on the track when he was hit.The victim's condition wasn't immediately available.
