Man struck and killed in northwest Columbus

COLUMBUS -- A man was struck and killed by a vehicle in northwest Columbus Sunday evening, according to Columbus police.The call came into police a few minutes before 9 p.m. at the intersection of Highland Drive and Olentangy River Road.Police said the victim, later identified as 56-year-old Richard Gilbreath, died at 9:16 p.m. at Riverside Methodist Hospital.Police said Gilbreath walked into the path of the car that hit him.Olentangy River Road was closed southbound from Garrett Drive to Highla
