Man sets his parents' home on fire after using blowtorch to kill spiders

Call it an extreme case of arachnophobia.A man in California went way overboard trying to kill black widow spiders in his parents’ home.He accidentally started a house fire after using a blowtorch to kill the spiders Tuesday night.He was house-sitting for his parents at the time.Firefighters said he made it out safely and no one was hurt.More than two dozen firefighters responded and put out the fire which damaged the second-story and the attic.
