Man sentenced to life in prison for raping 12-year-old

A man convicted of abducting and raping a 12-year-old girl was sentenced this morning to life in prison with no chance of parole for 35 years. Vent L. Hairston, 56, was found guilty on Aug. 31 of two counts of rape and one count of kidnapping.
