Man sentenced for killing mother in Licking County

Russell David Littrell was sentenced to life in prison on Friday for killing his mother in the Pataskala area.After serving 15 years, Littrell will have the possibility to ask for parole.Licking County Sheriff Randy Thorp said officials were called on a welfare check to a residence on River Forest Road Southwest in September.That’s when police discovered Ruth Hackney, 56, dead in her home.
