Man killed in single-vehicle crash in Delaware County

DELAWARE COUNTY - The Delaware Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly single-vehicle crash out of Delaware County.It happened around 11:15 p.m. Thursday night on South Old State Road of Parklawn Drive in Orange Township.OSHP says John Schmittauer, 23, of Lewis Center, was killed when he veered off the side of the road, hit a mailbox, and then ran into a ditch and flipped.Schmittauer was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital where he later died of his injuries.Authorities
