Man killed after scooter crash in northeast Columbus

A Columbus man was killed early Thursday after his scooter crashed in northeast Columbus.According to Columbus Police, Stephen Banks, 40, lost control of his Yamaha scooter along Brentnell Avenue near Argyle Drive around 1:30 a.m.Investigators say the scooter left the roadway, crashing into a utility pole and a small tree.Banks, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene.
