Man injured in Newark apartment fire

NEWARK, Ohio – A 58-year-old man was injured in an apartment fire in Newark on Tuesday.Firefighters responded to the 1800 block of Stanhope Drive around 3:15 p.m.The fire has since been contained.Fire investigators said the man is being treated at Licking Memorial Hospital for very serious injuries.A cause of the fire is under investigation but based on what investigators have learned so far the fire started while the man while the cooking in the kitchen.The American Red Cross is respondin
