Man helps revive lost Miami Native American language

OXFORD, Ohio — A quarter-century ago, when a 28-year-old carpenter in northwestern Ohio ran across some words written down in his ancestral Miami language, he hardly thought he was starting on a path toward academic acclaim and a MacArthur “genius grant.”
