Man gets life in prison for fatal shooting over missing dog

A fatal shooting a year ago that began with a dispute over a missing dog has resulted in a life sentence for a 19-year-old Near East Side man. Gino Griggs of E. Livingston Avenue pleaded guilty on Monday to one count of murder in the death of 21-year-old Ja'Quan Tucker. Franklin County Common Pleas Judge Colleen O'Donnell imposed the mandatory sentence of life in prison with no chance of parole for 15 years.
