Man dies after falling from Licking County cliff

A man has died after falling off a cliff in Licking County Monday evening. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources says that a man fell from a cliff at the Blackhand Gorge State Nature Preserve near Newark around 8:00 p.m. Monday. He died from his injuries. Blackhand Gorge is known for its cliffs, walking trails, and bike paths. The park is named for an Native American petroglyph that was once carved on a massive sandstone cliff within the reserve. The victim's name is not being released at thi
