Man dead after being pulled from truck in Hilliard pond

HILLIARD - A man has died after being pulled from a truck inside a Hilliard pond.A couple spotted the vehicle inside a retention pond near the intersection of Allisons Way and Kathryns Way.The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.Hilliard Police are currently working to get the truck out of the pond.Authorities said a Norwich Firefighter suffered a minor injury while helping the man get out the water.
