Man charged for allegedly stealing 33 iPads from Columbus elementary school

Columbus Police have charged a man for allegedly stealing iPads from a German Village elementary school.Police said 31-year-old Ely Stevenson was arrested Tuesday for breaking into St. Mary Elementary School on September 3.Authorities said Stevenson took 33 iPads and a speaker valued at $11,200.Police said Stevenson was positively identified by multiple people after putting out photos from the theft caught on a surveillance camera.Stevenson is charged with theft and breaking & entering.
