Longtime librarian puts 60 years on the books

When Carrie Cropp first started working at the Columbus Metropolitan Library in 1956, she would walk from Central High School to Lazarus for lunch, then to her job. Sixty years later, Central High and Lazarus are history but Carrie Cropp — whose married name is Carrie Ingle — still works for the library. She'll mark the milestone on March 12 but will be presented with a proclamation today at the library’s board of trustees meeting at its Gahanna branch.
