Licking County Sheriff's deputy being treated after being struck by vehicle during shooting

NEWARK – According to Licking County Sheriff Randy Thorp, a deputy in his office is being treated at Licking Memorial Hospital after being struck by a vehicle and discharged his firearm.The deputy, who has not been named at this time, was searching for suspects in a burglary when he fired shots and was struck by a vehicle while standing outside of his own.
