Licking County commissioners approve $66.6 million budget

NEWARK — Licking County commissioners Thursday approved a $66.6 million budget for next year, a 3.9 percent increase over 2016’s final budget of $64 million. Like this year’s budget, spending on capital improvements make up a large chunk of the 2017 budget, the commissioners said. More than $7.8 million is budgeted for building projects.
