Lawmakers pass bill to make Ohio's sales tax holiday permanent
Lawmakers in Ohio have passed a bill that will make the state’s back-to-school tax-free weekend permanent.The House of Representatives approved Senate Bill 226 on Wednesday.The tax-free weekend began as a pilot program in 2015. After returning in 2016 and 2017, lawmakers moved to make the holiday permanent.The annual tax holiday will run the first Friday through Sunday of August.The tax exemption will apply to items of clothing up to $75 each as well as school supplies and instructional ma
