Laundry sparks deadly house fire in southwest Columbus

One man is dead after suffering injuries escaping his burning home.The fire started around 11:30 Thursday night on Autumn Village Drive, near Frank Road in southwest Columbus.A battalion chief says the fire started when a woman folding laundry out of the drier put it into plastic bags.The heat from the clothes caused one of the bags to catch fire.The woman and her 37-year-old son tried to put out the flames before calling 911 and getting out of the house.The man went back into the house and into
