Lancaster High School operating on 2-hour delay; building briefly evacuated after gas smell

LANCASTER, OHIO - Officials from the Lancaster City School district originally reported a gas leak at the high school Wednesday morning.The announcement was posted on their Twitter page just before 8 a.m.Lancaster police and fire determined the gas smell was coming from the kitchen area.The building located at 1312 Granville Pike was evacuated while the gas company and firefighters resolved the issue.Officials say the building has been checked and is safe for students to return to the building.
