Lancaster bicyclist dies after being struck by car

LANCASTER, Ohio — A Lancaster bicyclist has died after he was struck by a car, the State Highway Patrol said. Ralph R. Conrad Jr., 79, was riding south on County Road 86, also called Old Logan Road, in Berne Township south of Lancaster, on Monday at about 2:10 p.m. when he was hit from behind by a Chevy Impala driven by Katherine S. Whiteman, 67, of Lancaster, the patrol said.
