L Brands’ sales figures continue to wow Wall Street

L Brands reported comparable store sales for August that beat Wall Street expectations once again. The Columbus-based parent of Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works, said the comparable store sales — a key indicator of a retailer’s health — increased by 2 percent for the month, better than the 0.4 percent increase that analysts had predicted.
