Kroger closes Columbus Bakery, lays off more than 400 employees

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Kroger announced Monday morning that it has shut down production at the Columbus Bakery.More than 400 employees at the bakery, located on Cleveland Ave. just north of downtown, are being let go.Kroger says the 411 associates at the facility will be paid for a 60-day period, per their collective bargaining agreements.
