Kings Island to close Firehawk roller coaster

Kings Island announced Thursday it will close one of its 16 roller coasters.Firehawk, a steel roller coaster located in the Coney Mall area of the park, will end its run at the conclusion of Kings Island's Halloween Haunt weekends.Park officials say the ride is still popular with many guests but it has reached the end of its service life.Final rides will begin Friday, Sept. 28, with its last days of operation occurring the final weekend of Halloween Haunt and The Great Pumpkin Fest, Oct. 26&ndas
