Kevin Boyce set to become Franklin County’s first black county commissioner
When he is sworn in Tuesday, Kevin Boyce will become Franklin County's first black county commissioner. He also might be Ohio's only black commissioner. Summit and Cuyahoga counties don't have commissions; they are governed by county councils, so their representatives aren't county commissioners. Boyce said his election "says something. It speaks to the magnitude of what I represent."
