Kenton police officer shot; suspect dead

A call about a domestic disturbance in Hardin County turned deadly Saturday night, with a Kenton police officer shot and recovering now in a Columbus hospital and the suspect dead. Officer Skyler Newfer, who was recently honored for jumping into a lake to save a woman, was flown to a Columbus hospital and is expected to recover. It is unclear if the suspect was shot or killed himself.
