Kasich rolls up endorsements, but how much do they matter?

Gov. John Kasich's presidential campaign has racked up more major newspaper endorsements than all other Republican candidates combined, active and inactive. He received heady praise from some unlikely sources, including The New York Times, which called Kasich "the only plausible choice for Republicans tired of the extremism and inexperience ... He has been capable of compromise and believes in the ability of government to improve lives."
