Kasich calls for combined effort in reducing armed attacks, rejects religious ban

Gov. John Kasich again spoke out today against Donald Trump’s renewed call for a ban on Muslim immigrants in light of Sunday’s shooting in Orlando. He said the mass killings show America has “entered a new age in terms of what we have to guard against.” He said it would require the combined efforts of many key players to find a solution, but indicated that he didn’t want to politicize the tragedy.
