Justice Insider: Pub manager knocks down man with gun

A would-be robber at the Old Bag of Nails on the Near East Side apparently had the snot knocked out of him Sunday night by the restaurant manager. The robber pointed a gun at the manager of the restaurant, at 17 N. Nelson Road, about 9:45 p.m. As the robber was leaving, the manager tackled him, grabbed the gun and yelled for help. Other employees helped hold the robber until authorities arrived.
