Jon Husted pushes 'Fresh Start Act' to General Assembly

An initiated statute aimed at helping people wipe past marijuana convictions off their record is on its way to the General Assembly. Secretary of State Jon Husted certified the “Fresh Start Act” and forwarded it to the legislature today. It was intended to follow Ohioans legalization of marijuana for personal and medicinal use last fall. That didn’t happen, however, as voters soundly rejected the ResponsibleOhio proposal by a nearly two-to-one margin.
